Today, on a rainy Friday, I went to the small town of Tolfa, which is located in the hills (70 km North from Rome). I went there with a friend of mine, as he was looking for a small house there in Tolfa. He would like to run a "Room & Breakfast" accomodation for tourists there in the village of Tolfa.
Paving with cobblestones allows a road to be heavily used, as it prevents the build-up of ruts often found in dirt roads.
That's the entrance of the small house for sale ("vende" in Italian language).
We have noticed that many tourists, mainly from Norther Europe, enjoy visiting that old village and its alleys all year long. Many of them from Norway have also bought same of those typical old houses.

Tolfa mi pare un posto affascinante,un borgo caratteristico.Unica cosa negativa è che acquistando una casa vetusta ci vogliono molti soldi per per mantenerla.Io personalmente non comprerei una casa vecchia.
E' vero questo, Olga. Bisogna stare attenti: conviene solo se il prezzo è molto basso.

that's true, Willie, considering you don't like big town. Actually, the food you can get there isn't the same one as we see big cities' restaurants.
No! The food there is so much better
than city restaurants..because it's
ALL home made with home grown ingredients,
the food is also so much fresher...!
If you visit a country, you should visit
it's small towns and villages..to get to
know the true feel of that country, and
especially it's food..! And meet the true
people of that country..! :).
And..No! I don't like BIG towns or cities..! :(.
Tolfa streets are really great and it's normal to tourist's like them :) Here is still cold and it's really bad for some flowers and fruit trees... Happy weekend Giorgio :)
