Through the port

This moring the weather wasn't as frigid as two days ago, so I went running along the coast and past the city port. I was so glad to see Spain's tourists who were visiting the castle, despite the epidemic hasn't gone to an end, and Russia's war in Ukraine enters a third week.

With regards to the war in East Europe, the rising in fuel price to all-time highs has caused many fishing boats  to stop going up to sea.

Several fishermen and vendors, also in other countries such as Japan and Vietnam, have been talking about the continued increase in oil price. Consequently, I am afraid fish prices will climb soon.

I hope things will be better soon!

There is such a beauty where you live. A feel of history and longevity. The oil in the US is a gouging of the big gas corporations. The US only imports gas and crude of 8% from russia. Shell gas imported russian oil, 100,000 metric tons at a discount of $28.50 a barrel and has the highest prices at the pumps. Biden had announced that there would be no gas gouging. Well, this is America, it is always the richest for themselves and the rest pay. I am sorry to see the fishing boats stalled. We are all in for some bad days. Be safe my friend.

The chief executive of Shell's pay package rose by 26% to €7.4bn (£6.2m) last year amid a recovery in oil prices from COVID crisis lows, according to the company's annual report.

Ben van Beurden enjoyed the first increase in total awards since 2018 - a year when he took home €20m.

The 2021 package included a €2.6m annual bonus on top of his €2m salary. The rest comprised of long-term incentive payments.

The report showed that Mr van Beurden's package was 57 times more than the median Shell worker received.

In Turkey, fuel prices were increased maybe 8 times and increased unbelievably. Farmers have a really tough job and soon this will affect other prices as well..
