Spiderweb

This morning the waitress, who works at the pub in my neighborhood, decided to paint a spiderweb on the milk surface of my coffee. I don't know why :-) I didn't ask her anything about its meaning, as she simply said the two colours were made with chocolate and caramel (respectively, brown and orange)

Maybe the spiderweb means a mess. The world is in a mess due to the fact that the US, the UK, and some EU countries now try to buy time and finance Ukraine's defence system. They are still getting weapons into Ukraine from all corners of the world. As a result, Ukraine territory will become a de facto NATO-Russia battleground ... I hope I haven't bored you with my thoughts about the war in East Europe. Anyway, the good news is that Ukraine plans to hold a third round of talks this weekend.

The picture below, which I took this morning while I was running, shows a decoration on a old building. I noticed that more than two centuries ago the palace was built with the same red bricks as we see in London, NY State, and other places in North Europe.

 Have a nice weekend!

...to call this a mess is an understatement!

I popped into Costa this morning for
my coffee..chatted to a few friends,
as l usually do..left about 9.30...
Half way home, bumped into my next
door neighbour who dragged me back
to Costa..! For another coffee....
An hour or so later, at last l was
on my way home..!
And..now it's time for lunch..! :).

It does'nt matter which news channel
you watch..it's ALL bad..and ALL
different! The reporting is much the
same..some true, some fake..! :(.
Putin must be eradicated from society,
and from planet Earth..Who will undertake
this 'simple' task..One bullet in the right
place..Job done..! :O).

Sorry to hear Mr. Macron's words with regards to the war in East Europe: ""worst is yet to come as Putin wants to take all of Ukraine"".

I do hope that they can come to an agreement and some peace and avoid any more war, but I fear that is a silly hope.

The spiderweb design looks so pretty, what a nice surprise! :)

Hope that you are having a great weekend! Was a hot and sunny one here :)

How long does it take to make these designs on the coffee? If I did it the coffee would be cold by the time I finish. Do they have a stencil to do it?

God bless.

To Mica and Viktor:

It takes less than 20 seconds! She sometimes writes "good morning" (or "buon giorno" in Italian language) in less than 10 seconds.
While she begins to paint on the milk surface the cup and the coffee are already very hot!

You could see some of her writings on the coffee at the following link:

I will never get tired of your thoughts on the war or anything else for that matter. I don't see a spider web, although there is great meaning to that. I see a beautiful flower to brighten your day. Have a very nice day.

To Nicole:

Thank you for you kind words, Nicole :-)
I am glad to hear I am not boring you ... another good news is that Turkish President two hour ago said that he would continue efforts to conduct extensive negotiations.

Maybe, as you mentioned, the drawing on the coffee would be a flower if she (the waitress) were to change its colours ... orange, yellow and violet instead of black and brown :-)))

Enjoy te rest of this Sunday!

Who knew that coffee would become an art form? The most amazing for me was a few years ago in Scotland. When the fellow serving me at a little coffee bothy in the Highlands realized I was Canadian my coffee came with a perfect maple leaf on the top.

To David M. Guascogne:

... The Scottish waitress that you met in the highlands was very kind 🇨🇦 ☕ 😊

Scottish people are so nice! Fours years ago, while I was visiting Edinburgh I quickly noticed they're so able to deal with tourists. On the contrary, people who live in many crowded EU cities (such as Paris, Venice, Munich, etc.) aren't as kind as we see in Scotland.

Thank you for visiting my blog :-)
