Still in Rome

On Thursday, September 16th, I went to Rome for job. I was so glad to see many tourists walking through the main streets of the town and visiting the most important landmarks in Rome. In September weather is never too hot and never too cold. That's the main reason why they decided to visit Rome in late summer. The problem is that visitors have to show their COVID-19 digital certificates before entering department stores, shops, restaurants, cafes and other indoor venues.
Many Italians believe that the introduction of the COVID-19 digital certificates is an infringement of some constitutional rights and freedoms. It seems that policy makers haven't implemented EU regulations correctly. EU provisions related to the COVID-19 digital certificate ("Green pass", that's its name in Italy), which have been incorporated into the Italian legislation, may allow cafes and restaurants' owners to discriminate against those who don't wish to receive the vaccine. Unfortunately, they will have no choice but observe the COVID-19 certificate rules. It has to be said that in many UE countries this is not the case, although the EU Regulation about the COVID-19 digital certificate is the same
Anyway, I think that people still have to wear a mask indoors and observe social distance rules, even if people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

After I had finished work, I enjoyed walking along the main streets of Rome.

Nice weekend to all of you 🍇 ☀️ 🌺

...perhaps want the pandemic to continue indefinitely, I don’t understand!

To Tom: exactly, my friend! They (policy makers & the 1% richer people, who have
invested in pharmaceutical companies) want the pandemic to continue year after
year. Now they are blaming people who haven't been vaccinated against COVID-19
And when all people are vaccinated they will blame the variants and so on.

All photos are great and perfect time for visiting Rome :) my last visit was in 2013 and I missed :)) I always think that Rome is more romantic than Paris :)

We still have to wear masks indoors here even though there are no cases in the community - just in quarantine. I think we will be wearing masks for a while even when we are all vaccinated - right now there is a shortage of vaccines in Australia so I'm not sure when we will be able to put the vaccine passport in place or anything, but as we have no cases here in Brisbane life is back to normal anyway - just with masks, haha!

Hope you had a great weekend :) We had so much fun at the Lego exhibition at the museum yesterday.

Lovely photos of Rome, Giorgio.

I absolutely agree with you - people should still wear masks indoors and observe social distancing rules even if they are fully vaccinated.

Have a great weekend!

To Veronica:
that's true Veronica. Actually, I am afraid of vaccinated people, as they don't observe social distancing ... according to a major new UK study, the AstraZeneca and Pfizer coronavirus vaccines are less effective against the Delta variant three months after inoculation rules.

I would very much like to visit Italy. It is a dream that I am afraid will never come true. However, through your blog and photos it's pretty close.

I wish I could visit Rome again. I agree that vaccinated people behaving like there is no risk can pose a risk for others.
