First two days of the week

During the first two days of this I week went to Rome and Trevignano for job. On this two sunny days  many tourists were visiting Rome's oldest neighborhoods,  and its main landmarks, as usual. I have never noticed before that close to Vatican city most advertisements are written in English language.

Great to see that Trevignano's oldest neighborhood is car-free zone for a better environment. Trevignano, with its old stone houses, is a small village of 5,000 inhabitants. It is located 50 km North from Rome and close to the Bracciano lake.
While I was walking along the oldest part of this typical Italian village I took some pictures of the wooden doors.

Enjoy the rest of this week!

Hi Giorgio! The door is indeed beautiful and elegant, I can see the intricate work of its maker. Ads, on the other hand... Giorgio I will tell you that it irritates me how some beautiful place, historic is destroyed with them... Giorgio I salute you!

I have noticed when looking at the blogs of Europeans that many signs are in English and have found this curious. There must surely be at least some of the local citizenry who are unable to read them.

There is a certain grandeur about doors, isn't there, and I am sure it is not lost on your readers that they represent the comings and goings of life. We are presented with many doors and we have to have the wisdom to select the right ones to open and enter.

Kestrel here, I can't figure out why I am listed as Beau Bo. Trying to correct this. Rome and cobblestone roads go together I think. It must be difficult to walk and surely wear down the soles of your shoes. The doors look quite traditional in different designs and of good wooden structure.

To Kestrel:

I can't see your blog, Kestrel. I don't know why this happens ... it seems Beau Bo website doesn't work.
