1st week of the year in Naples

A few pictures taken in Naples (South Italy) from 30th December to 6th January.

A coffee shop's owner painted a big skull on the wall :-) :-) :-)

The picture below shows an old building located in the historical centre of Naples, which belonged to a noble Spanish family.

Many old Naples' neighbohood are rich in history and tradition. They are place of art and culture, full of faith and hope.

Tomorrow, January 6th, is Epiphany, also called Three Kings Day. It's a Christian holy day that celebrates the revelation of the baby Jesus to the world.

To Olga, Tanza and Roentare:

I am glad to read that you enjoyed the pictures of my born town. As soon as I go to Naples (South Italy) once again, I will show you other unusual corners of the town. My mother and my two sisters live there, that's why I sometimes go there.

Hi Giorgio! I thank you for the photos from Naples!!! have heard that Naples is a wonderful city... I have been to many cities in Italy, but unfortunately I haven’t been to Naples.
P.S.
Giorgio you wrote that tomorrow is The Feast of the Three Kings. I will tell you an interesting fact from Poland. It’s not cheerful and funny, in my opinion it’s tragic.
Ryszard Petru Polish politician and economist, presidential candidate said a few years ago that it’s the Feast … of 6 Kings

Dear Giorgio! Naples is very beautiful! Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas! Happy holidays!

The skull is a symbol of death! Ukrainian Nazis have images of skulls on their clothes.

To Ирина Полещенко:

I know this point, Irina. Actually, when Russian soldiers went to Mariupol they saw many tattoos on the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers captured at Azovstal plant. After Russians captured Ukrainian soldiers at Azovstal plant (Mariupol), several videos and photos lent credibility to Russian claims of a serious neo-Nazi problem in Ukraine.

But the skull that you can see in the picture above is related to an underground cemetery in Naples, which is characterized by the many bones and skulls in the cave complex. The shop in the picture is located close to the cemetery just mentioned.

I visited Naples way back when I was twenty years old and found it a charming city. I had my first pizza there! Who can forget that?
