Hi to everyone! Today is the day of Assumption of Mary (The Virgin Mary enters Heaven).
According to Catholic Church, August 15th is considered a Holy day of obligation.
Yesterday I was ready for my first day back at work. I had been on vacation since July 28th to August 13th: beaches and rest, although the weather wasn't good enough.
The picture above shows the small black cat who lives close to my mother's house. When I took that picture he was sleeping sweetly.
At the moment I am not running as much as I should, considerng that I would like to run a half marathon in October. Moreover, I have low back pain: muscles were torn or overly stretched because of sudden movement while I was digging in my mother's garden. I hope I can run again as soon as possible. The problem is that I don't dig every week ... the sudden increase in digging the garden is rapidly followed by injuries. Do you know how to avoid back pain conditions relating to gardening?
Nice weekend to all my blogger firends!

My Dad called me to tell me it was the day of the Assumption of Mary - urging me to get to church! Funny I should read it on your blog! I really like my TP Therapy Foam Roller for low back pain. I get it quite often and the roller is very relieving. Feel better!
I know a great way to avoid back pain from gardening - don't do any gardening or employ someone else to do it. Works for me.
Ha ha - good idea from Char! Seriously, though, I know what you mean - we are painting a room in our house this weekend, and my arms and shoulders are sore from doing it.
August 15 is an official holiday here, so a long weekend (good for painting jobs).
Easy.... pay another person to do that job!
Oh, I am late with this comment, Char had the same idea before me!
But if I remember long time ago, in the Black Knight Army, we had a humble servant .......
To Char and Black Knight: Thanks for your advice! If everybody were to employ someone to do a work such as gardening, the unemployment rate would decrease sharply :)
But in this perspective, I should hire many employees for painting a room, cooking supper, bathing a dog, washing a car, and so on.
I am with Char and Stefano :)
I do my garden myself too and always have back pain afterwards because I use my body in different ways with gardening. The back pain however is always gone the next day.
