Black chickpeas

In my last post I mentioned the place where I've been working  since Monday. I will be there until Friday 27th. I'd like to show two dishes which I have had there. The first may be perfect as pre-race food (carbohydrates). It's spaghetti with artichoke.

The second one may be good after a training session (proteins). It's black chickpeas supper. Really tasty! I would have never thought about black chickpeas. I have heard about black beans (from South America) or black lentils (from India) but not of  black chickpeas.
Have nice runs!

I have never heard of black chickpeas either! I love regular chickpeas...do the black ones taste similar?

No, they don't. They're better, more delicious and delicate.

They both sound good to me....as long as someone else is cooking them!

Both looking good.

By the way: I don't know what you mean by a recipe for pancakes. It's too general because there are many kinds of pancakes in the world. For me it's kind of difficult to give recipes from my cook books because I always have to translate in English.
If they look for the american pancakes types you might check the jamie oliver website. I know he has them in his cook books and they are good.

Ive never heard of black chickpeas either but looks delicious. Hope that gives your running a kick in the pants. Thanks for stopping by my blog. You have made an interesting point to post my training, I think I might do that.

Vedi di non ingrassare con quei piatti carichi di calorie, nuove avventure ci aspettano.
Io ho un mese impegnatissimo ma .... che ne dici di una garetta l'ultima domenica di marzo?

CiCi Beans! Never saw black ones! Artichoke is so good for us. I need more recipes to include it in my diet.
