Hello blogger friends! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! Yesterday my family and I came back from Germany where we spent three days including my 50th birthday. Munich is really a lovely town and while we were visiting it the weather was sunny enough. We travelled confortably through that beautiful town by S-bahn, U-bahn, bus and tram. Perfect! We visited the Deutsches Museum and the Munchener Stadtmuseum which were both interesting. Inside the Frauenkirche there was a beautiful atmosphere and we saw the whole town from the top of Sankt Peter Kirche's tower. It was marvellous!
We had the birthday dinner at the "Spockmeier" which is situated in the old heart of Munich, next to Marienplatz. It's a typical Bavarian restaurant where we had good traditional food. The atmosphere was friendly enough and the weissbier that they served was delighful. Butchery's products were great. I'm sure that as soon as I go again to Munich I'll have a dinner there. On Friday, 25th, when we arrived to Munich, after we had walked through Marienplatz and surrondings near the centre of the old town, we went to the Hofbräuhaus which is considered the most famous pub in Germany.

Nice way to spend your half century birthday. But was there no cake?
welcome back - great to hear you had such a lovely time with your family.
I love those red roofs. Sounds like a great trip. Good luck on your coming race.
Beautiful pics. Glad you enjoyed the trip and the city.
Hofbrau....I think you know who used to meet his "friends" in that "pub".....
Sounds like a nice way and a nice place to turn 50! Congratulations on reaching that milestone with a positive frame of mind! I hope it's a great year for you!
Glad you had such a wonderful time.
I spent some time in Munich a few years back, way too short a time. Maybe one of these days I will go back and visit that famous pub.
I have always thought that beer is a good recovery drink. Never considered beer-loading before the race. :)
So glad you and your family had such a great time in München. I've never been there but it looks like a beautiful city!
Munich is a beautiful city! Glad you had such a great time! We are heading to Gerolstein (Eifel region of Germany) during the Easter holidays for a few days.
Again happy birthday! Hopefully that number to you has great feelings. Very cool pictures of Muenchen. One day I'll get back.
Good luck on your race this weekend.
