Short and odd track

Last Sunday I ran the Ladispoli's 6 km race along an odd track while the weather was sunny and pretty hot. The race started at 09:30, so we didn't run during the heat of the day. Although I enjoyed the race and my average pace was 4:35/Km, I've understood that I have to increase my speed. We ran about 1 kilometer through a soft "green" path and the garmin highlighted that the track was less than 6 kilometers. It was 5.8 kilometers! I'm sure that my friend Stefano will post soon an accurate report about that race on the Black Knight 's blog.
We are running the next race in September, 12 km in Grosseto (Tuscany). A nice week to everyone!

Good pace!
I bet Garmin underestimated the distance, my does all the time. :)

You are already fast, that is good pace considering the heat and part of the path through the country. Besides we met only real runners and no joggers. Grosseto is waiting.....

Hi Giorgio,
I want to run in Tuscany! Please take pictures to share:)

Nice work on your 6K race! You are a fast Giorgio! I need to work on my speed. I know that I have lost some of my speed by doing so many longer distance races.

Take care!

That's a fast pace, well done! I can't really talk about speed anymore. If you improve your speed more you'll be flying!

Boy you're fast, I couldn't keep up with you. Well done on the race!

In Summer races start here around noon too and I really don't like that as I'm not a good runner in hot weather. I never understood why they don't start at 10 am or so here too.

Besides the weather, afternoon runs cost me all day and if I run in the morning or evening I have something left of the day to do other things.
